Autumn Drive and Covered Bridge Tour

Our third year Autumnal Drive is Almost Here!

Note: we are exploring a Friday evening get together and/or camp. Please message or comment if interested!

Bring your Land Rover and tour the picturesque countryside of Ashtabula County, Ohio, home to 19 covered bridges including the shortest and longest in the US. We’ll take time to enjoy the autumn air and autumn colors with stops at some of the bridges. Wineries and orchards will be passed along the way.
This is the perfect outing for your stock rover, your classic rover, or your beautiful modern rover that you don’t want to take offroad!

Itinerary:

  • 9AM-10AM meet at Scribblers Coffee Co. 388 S Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041 for early birds and anyone wanting breakfast/coffee.

  • 10AM - will start the bridges tour, beginning with the shortest covered bridge in the US (at the end of the parking lot of Scribblers). The second stop is a short drive to the longest covered bridge in the US (and a restroom stop!)

  • 1.5 hours - to drive 14 of the 19 bridges in the area. We can make additional stops as desired.

  • 12:00PM - Enjoy lunch at one of NE Ohios most unique vineyards for cheeses, flat breads, or sausage.


What to bring:

  1. FRS or GMRS two way radio (to talk to each other while driving) Chanel 20 (462.6750 MHz)

  2. Map device + camera (phone at least)

  3. Comfortable clothing for the weather

  4. A Smile!

    Note: if your rover isnt working/available/etc and you want to see the bridges with other rover enthusiasts please come and feel free to ride along!
